When are the bikes donated to the Boys and Girls Club? Can I attend?
January 5th, 2011 at the Boys and Girls Club of Manassas Center. The center will be having their 6th year birthday celebration - the bikes will arrive at approximately 5pm.
What do my Paypal monetary donations go towards?
Paypal donations will be used to purchase additional helmets, parts and hopefully a NEW bike to be raffled off. Any leftover funds will be donated directly to Boys and Girls Club of Manassas.
Are my bicycle and monetary donations tax deductible?
Yes, the Boys and Girls Club of Manassas is a charitable organization under Federal tax code 501(c)(3). Roll it Forward will present Boys and Girls Club of Manassas with an itemized list of all donor contact information and mail out receipts on January 6th, 2011.
Does Roll it Forward offer a pick-up service for my donations?
Currently we are unable to pick-up donated bicycles.
What donations are you accepting?
Kid and adult bicycles, helmets, bicycle parts, tools and related equipment, supplies, accessories, bicycle locks. Clothing is not currently being accepted.
What is a "gently used" bicycle?
A gently used bicycle needs minor repairs such as inflating tires, replacing a rusty chain, etc. There is little rust or dents on the bike frame. The seat should have no rips or tears. Bikes with bent wheels or other major mechanical problems are not considered gently used.
I am still unsure if my bike is considered "gently used". What should I do?
Bring the bike in to Bull Run Bicycles to have it evaluated by the owner and head mechanic, Danny Quirk.
What does Bull Run Bicycles do with the bicycles once they are received?
Bull Run Bicycles will inspect it, tune it up, clean it up, make sure it's safe and deliver it!
Who is Prince William Cycling Group?
Prince William Cycling group is a local group of people who enjoy cycling within a group. We welcome all levels, from beginners to experts. Our rides are typically on the road or use local cycling paths. We also offer off-road or "mountain biking" group rides.
